"We have received our ACC3034C, along with the router and ethernet cable. We have also managed to install the LWDAQ and Videoarchiver software. We are using a Mac, running OS Ventura 13.2. We have reset the IP using the configuration switch, as confirmed by the 5x rapid LED blinking.
"It seems we are not able to communicate with the camera at all. For example, the white LEDs cannot be set, timing out with error message "ERROR: Timeout waiting for sockXXXX connection to 10.0.0.34:2223". Following the troubleshooting guide for the Videoarchiver, "Timeout waiting for socket connection", I can verify that when we press Q, the camera does not respond. The orange LED on the camera next to the ethernet jack is blinking occasionally. In the troubleshooting guide, I see the text "You must configure your wired Ethernet connection to run on subject 10.0.0, so that your computer will use its wired Ethernet to communicate with IP address 10.0.0.34." I am not sure what this means.
"I know that the Mac OS tends to be pretty restrictive with its ports by default. I believe we have opened ssh port 22, by enabling remote login. However, I am not sure how to configure the wired Ethernet connection, as suggested by the troubleshooting notes. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!"Statistics: Posted by Kevan Hashemi — Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:46 pm
